REDUCED LOCAL FUNDING FOR YOUTH PROJECTS
There are more young people living in poverty than any other age group. With reduced local funding for youth projects, especially those focused on sport, being severely cut, opportunities for young people to get into and participate in sport in deprived communities is extremely limited.
WORKING LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY
e work with key national bodies and local government to highlight on the ground projects in deprived communities trying to deliver sport focused initiatives. Working with those on the ground we highlight kit needs, which we can fill. This enables the project to free up much needed funding to ensure their longevity.

GRASS ROOTS:
SUCCESS STORY

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, had heard about the work of the charity and his team approached us to see if we could support some of the projects they support in the field of young and sport. This led to us finding out about an amazing initiative that runs weekly in East London, helping young people move away from gangs and into sport.

This East London initiative was true grass roots project and one we were only to happy to help with and support. One of our visits to the project was with Team England and two of their athletes that represented England at the recent Commonwealth Games.

The reception we received on arriving at the project was simply amazing and the raw talent on display was staggering. The project leader told us that a number of the people that came to play had already picked up professional football contracts! We were able to donate over 1,000 items to this amazing project.
